Bio

Emily is a designer, cartographer and educator, committed to using community-based design practices as tools for social justice. Her work focuses on urban and rural issues, including food & agricultural systems, utility equity, housing and transportation. Emily came to design work through farming, managing sustainable agriculture operations and educational spaces for six years before transitioning to more systems-level work. She holds a masters' degree in Urban Design from Parsons School of Design/The New School and a bachelors' in Public Policy from Duke.
